Pentastomiasis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by pentastome parasites, typically reported in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The definitive hosts of Armillifer spp. (a subclass of pentastomes) are snakes, lizards, and other reptiles.
