Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the IIUM Rector, presented the letter of appointment to High Excellency Miyagawa, 53, at the Malaysian Japanese Embassy on November 19, 2021. The appointment of the ambassador is in line with IIMU’s Constitution to have a representative for institutions, bodies, and honourable entities.

IIUM has participated in this tournament with two teams. Both IIUM teams made their way to the semi-final rounds of the ESL category as they were ranked among the top 8 teams in the category, with IIUM B reaching the Grand Final (ESL Category) of the competition.
