The eighth convocation was held at the Muktamar Hall of Pusat Islam Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, 21 August 1994. The procession was divided into morning and afternoon sessions with the presence of the IIUM President, YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. A total of 1,140 students were received their degrees and diplomas for this session.
