The visit was attended by Islamic scholar (Grand Imam of al-Azhar), Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy (al-Marhum) on 24 March 1997.

The forum was held at Lecture Hall, IIUM Petaling Jaya Campus and was organised by IRKHS Student Society.

The program was officiated by Rector of IIUM, Dr. Abdul Hamid A AbuSulayman.

The camp with the theme "Arabic Language as a catalyst that helped to develop Islamic society world wide" was jointly organised by Qur'anic Language Society, IIUM and Islamic Religious Department of Perak from 17th until 20th July, 1997 at Teluk Batik, Lumut, Perak.

Closing ceremony of EIVISIS, educational and intergrational to Istanbul and Saudi Arabia was held on 15 August 1997 and organised by History Students' Forum with the collaboration with Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The workshop was launched and officiated by Tan Sri Dato Seri Ahmad Sarji bin Abdullah Hamid, Pengerusi PNB on 16 August 1997.
