The camp with the theme "Arabic Language as a catalyst that helped to develop Islamic society world wide" was jointly organised by Qur'anic Language Society, IIUM and Islamic Religious Department of Perak from 17th until 20th July, 1997 at Teluk Batik, Lumut, Perak.

Closing ceremony of EIVISIS, educational and intergrational to Istanbul and Saudi Arabia was held on 15 August 1997 and organised by History Students' Forum with the collaboration with Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The workshop was launched and officiated by Tan Sri Dato Seri Ahmad Sarji bin Abdullah Hamid, Pengerusi PNB on 16 August 1997.

The programme which was organized by Nusaybah Mahallah was joined by IIUM students as a part of the outreach programme for the students.

Automobile Treasure Hunt event and Native People Exhibition were organised at IIUM Petaling Jaya on Sunday, 23rd November 1997.

The playschool was launched by Dato' Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman on 17 September 1997 at IIUM Petaling Jaya Campus.

The seminar was organized by Kulliyyah of Laws and Law Society, IIUM.
