The visit by the Prime Minister of Jordan, HE Dr. Abdul Salam Majali to International Islamic University Malaysia was entertained by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid A. Abu Sulayman.

The visit was attended by Islamic scholar (Grand Imam of al-Azhar), Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy (al-Marhum) on 24 March 1997.
