is a Professional Civil Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Upon graduation with a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) degree with highest honours in 1986, he was employed as academic tutor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for a year during which he assisted in the teaching and research of hydrology and hydraulics.
